Thank you to the Dover Bay Secondary School Contribution Club for their $300 donation and toys worth $350 for the Paediatric department at NRGH!

The 20 members of the club raised the funds through a variety of activities including a book sale and selling items at a farmers market.

Thank you to Shannon Wright and Nicole Gervais of Coast Capital Saving for their Teddy Bear donation! The toys will provide comfort to children receiving medical care at the hospital.

Thank you to Innov8 Digital Solutions for their generous $2,000 donation for cardiac care at NRGH!

Thank you to Quality Foods for their generous $15,000 donation to their Community Health Endowment! Established in 2008, the Quality Foods Community Health Endowment has grown to $262,000 and the interest generated is used to purchase medical equipment for Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and Oceanside Health Centre in Parksville. Thank you Quality Foods!

Thank you to Toys”R”Us Canada and Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada for the $2,000 donation from the Toys ‘R’ Us grant program! The funds will be used to purchase Teddy Bears which provide great comfort to children who visit Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for medical care. The Hospital Foundation is very grateful to be a recipient of this generous partnership.

Thank you to Melanie and Keith Kirk who raised $975 through their Townsite Halloween House! The funds raised will go towards cardiac equipment at NRGH!

A big thank you to the Parksville Quilters Guild for their generous support! Over the past year they have donated an incredible number of items – 45 comfort quilts to the Chemotherapy Unit and 33 to the Renal Unit and to Neonatal Intensive Care – 303 knit hats, 115 flannel wraps, 30 flannel receiving blanket incubator covers and 130 baby quilts! Quilters Guild member Chris Kotzian, poses with just some of the materials used to create these wonderful gifts.

Aviator Bears have just arrived – in their own custom aircraft! Thank you to Allison and Gord of Skydive Vancouver Island for donating a bear for each skydive in the month of October! The 50 adorable bears will brighten the spirits of children receiving medical care at NRGH.

Thank you to Victoria Setter who donated various baby items including hats, clothes and toys that our social workers in Paediatrics will be able to give to families in need who are at the hospital with their child.
