Every Child Matters

Today we honor the lives of the 215 children found at the Kamloops Residential School in Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation territory, and all others who lost their lives to the residential school system. We mourn with the survivors and families of the innocent children whose voices were silenced.

Tim Hortons

Tim Hortons was live on location today with their mobile drive thru at our Dufferin Place Extended Care Facility. They were super excited to be able to personally deliver treats to the staff and residents, who were even more excited to receive the treats! Serving complimentary coffee and individually wrapped donuts to over 100 guests!

Special Delivery

In celebration of our incredible healthcare team working in the NRGH Intensive Care Unit, Pattie Walker, owner of Pattie’s Party Palace and Marcel Gauthier, owner of Papa John’s Pizza wanted to do something special to give back. Pattie, who shared her appreciation of support for her business over the years and who’s daughter happens to be an ICU nurse in Burnaby, asked her daughter “what should I do?” her daughter replied “food” so Pattie and Marcel connected and together delivered 90 pizzas, sodas and snacks for our entire ICU team to enjoy!
