Code Brew Grand Re-Opening Dedication

By News

The Code Brew Grand Re-Opening is dedicated to Brenda Rositano 1964-2019.

Brenda came to work for the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation on June 12, 2000. In her role as the first Manager of our new cafe, Brenda opened up Code Brew and set it up for great success.

Brenda’s exceptional work expanded into fundraising for the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation in 2004 and she stayed with us until 2019.

Best known for managing the Lotto for Life, Golf, Run and Ride for Life, Brenda raised millions of dollars for medical equipment at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

Famous for her bright smile and infectious laugh, Brenda Rositano was a beloved friend to all her work colleagues.

The Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation would like to sincerely thank the Rositano family for sharing Brenda with all of us. Our community is a better place because of her!

Cardiac Project

By News

The cardiac project is complete! We will now be able to deliver approximately 95% of pre and post-surgical and procedural cardiac care in our community, increase exams to an estimated 3,000 per year, and reduce wait times by as much as 50%. This project will have a significant impact for thousands in Nanaimo and Oceanside who require cardiac care. We are honored to work with our generous donors and NRGH to make it a reality.
