And thank you to The Children’s Treehouse for providing a discount so they could buy as many bears as possible with their $1,000!
The Nanaimo Quilters Guild Society for donated 8 quilts for VI SCAN (Vancouver Island Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect).
Each quilt given provides some comfort to a child during their visit.
We were delighted to receive our first donated Teddy Bear from Jaxon and his mum Stacy! Jaxon picked out the bear himself and is happy that a child who visits the hospital will receive his thoughtful gift.

Marilyn’s gift is also in thanks to the medical team for the care they gave Roy during his final days in the ICU in December 2017. We were delighted to meet Marilyn and her extended family, two of whom, Mark (her nephew) and Leah (Mark’s wife), are RN’s at NRGH!

Olivia’s family and friends celebrated daughter Lily’s 1st birthday on June 28th and requested money in lieu of gifts for the NICU at NRGH. Lily was in the NICU after she was born due to an infection but with the great care provided by nurses Nancy and Chelsea, Lily was able to go home after 5 days
