North Island Explorer - September 12-17, 2024
North Island Explorer

Explore Northern Vancouver Island with Other Supporters of Healthcare in our Community

This September, you can join Foundation CEO Barney Ellis-Perry for a custom tour of Northern Vancouver Island! Working with BC-based Mosaic Earth tours, we’ve created an itinerary designed to take us off the beaten path to explore our region in a way few have had the opportunity to experience.

Highlights include a guided kayak tour of Johnstone Strait, whale and grizzly bear watching in the Broughton Archipelago with an Indigenous eco-tourism company, a private tour of U’Mista Cultural Centre in Alert Bay, and a guided hike and day at San Joseph Bay at the remote and spectacularly beautiful Cape Scott Provincial Park. The package includes all activities, admissions, transportation, accommodation, meals, and gratuities, accompanied by a professional guide from Mosaic Earth – and our CEO, Barney Ellis-Perry.

This is the first time the Foundation has tried anything like this. While many of us came to Vancouver Island inspired by its rugged beauty and temperate climate, we don’t often step out of our comfort zone and embark on a new adventure here where we live. By exploring the Island together and sharing experiences, we will create a community among our donors that strengthens our shared commitment to care for the health of the people who live here.

The trip starts on September 12th with pick up in Nanaimo, returning on September 17th. Only 10 spots are available.

To learn more and receive a brochure with package details, reach out to Cheryl Onciul at cheryl.onciul@islandhealth.ca or on her direct line at 250-618-0121.

I do hope you will join us!
