Today on GivingTuesday let us harnesses the generosity of our communities and the impact we can have when we all pull together, to bring about a real change in the essential support needed for our hospital.
Thank you to the team at Fun at VIU for organizing the Teddy Bear Toss and 50/50 for the Hospital Foundation at the VIU Mariners hockey game! It was a great game, over $300 was raised and of course tons of stuffies were tossed for our littlest patience at NRGH!
Little Florence is another year older, we can’t believe it and it looks like she can’t either! Her annual birthday fundraiser is becoming such a special tradition we look forward to celebrating. This year with the help of her friends, family and the community she raised over $500 for the NICU at NRGH!
We had so much fun with our Smile Cookie Car Dealership Champions Harbourview Volkswagen this past September that they decided to carry on supporting our Hospital throughout October! In addition to buying and sharing over 45 dozen Tim Hortons Smile Cookies, they hosted a donation drive event resulting in an incredible $5,000 for our Nanaimo Regional General Hospital’s new ICU! We cannot thank these community leaders enough for their community spirit, kindness and generosity! This year ABC Recycling donated $2,344.44 to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital with proceeds from their public donation bin at their Duke Point location. Thank you to the ABC Recycling team and everyone in the community who donated their scrap metal!
A huge congratulations to the friends and family supporting the Pat Docherty Memorial fundraiser. Together they raised a record $82,555 towards the critical care medical equipment for the new ICU at NRGH.
