Women of the Moose

By Thank You!

Thank you to the Nanaimo Women of the Moose Chapter 197 for their generous $5,000 donation. The gift will be equally split between palliative care and the new endoscopy suite at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. To date, their giving total is close to $30,000! We are very grateful to the Women of the Moose and the many other service organizations in our community whose commitment helps fund even better healthcare for central Vancouver Island residents.

Lemonade Fundraiser

By News

What better way to raise funds to support children in hospital than with a cool lemonade stand on hot days! River has already raised $80 for the Hospital Foundation and plans to continue selling lemonade throughout the summer.

The Hospital Foundation is a natural fit for her efforts as River wants to be a doctor someday. She has a doctor’s kit and is very interested in healing people’s wounds in a variety of ways including with band aids and ice packs.

River donated some toys at Christmas and we are delighted she has chosen to help children in need once again. Thank you River, you are awesome!

Gift in Memory

By Thank You!

Thank you to Avary Dyce for her generous donation of $1,000! Avary raised the funds through various activities including stands, birthday money and personal savings. Her late, great aunt Brenda Rositano worked for the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation for 19 years. Avary’s thoughtful gift is in her memory.
