We are so grateful to COBS Bread for their ongoing support. Every year the folks at Cobs run Dough-nation Day, where part proceeds from every pack of hot cross buns sold are donated to NRGH. Not only that, but customers can donate their points to the NRGH account at Cobs at any time! This year they knocked it out of the park by raising a whopping $3,415 during the month of March! The funds will support the purchase of critical care equipment in the new Intensive Care Unit, set to open next year. Thank you so much, Cobs!
May 1 is National Physicians Day. Physicians are critically important to the health of our community. We are deeply grateful to our physicians for their tireless work, compassion, and perseverance in the face of incredible challenges. Your dedication to the health and safety of others inspires us every day. Thank you for all you do.
Today we thank the Royal Canadian Legion Mt Benson Branch 256 for their donation of $5,000 toward the new Intensive Care Unit last week! Branch President Lew Forth and Past President and Director Joann Walton-Hatch posed for the photo. The branch has given almost $142,000 since they began giving to the hospital in 1990! Thank you so much for 32 years of support for healthcare in our region.
Every year, Quality Foods and Dempsters partner up to fundraise for the Quality Foods Community Health Fund which supports educational opportunities for medical staff at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Quality Foods has supported the hospital with over $323,000 over 27 years of giving, including $10,000 that they gave last week! We are deeply grateful to have such wonderful partners who care so much about the health of the communities we serve.
