Dragon Boat Festival Delivers Big Again

Thank you to the Save On Foods Nanaimo Dragon Boat Festival for their generous $10,000 donation! This is the first gift towards their pledge of $50,000 for the new ICU at NRGH. To date, the Festival has donated an incredible $515,000 to the Hospital Foundation to support healthcare in our community!

They raised $3,800 in just four hours at their annual plant sale with proceeds supporting a number of local charities. All the plants sold at the sale are cultivated by their members and are of such good quality that people return year after year to buy them!

Thank you to PetSmart Nanaimo for donating another two huge bags of Teddy Bears! Patient comfort is an integral part of patient care and recovery. The stuffed toys comfort young patients when they are hurting most and provide elderly patients with dementia a welcome distraction.
