Thank you to Cub Scouts Roman, Breanne and Madalyn for fundraising and donating 60 beautiful poinsettias with personalized notes of gratitude to NRGH for our staff & patients to enjoy over the holidays. This community project was part of earning their Seeonee award with Scouts Canada. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated more than words by so many!

The Nanoose Bay Lions Club donated $1,000 for the Light the Trees campaign for the Essential Needs of the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Thank you to the team at Fun at VIU for organizing the Teddy Bear Toss and 50/50 for the Hospital Foundation at the VIU Mariners hockey game! It was a great game, over $300 was raised and of course tons of stuffies were tossed for our littlest patience at NRGH!

Little Florence is another year older, we can’t believe it and it looks like she can’t either! Her annual birthday fundraiser is becoming such a special tradition we look forward to celebrating. This year with the help of her friends, family and the community she raised over $500 for the NICU at NRGH!

We had so much fun with our Smile Cookie Car Dealership Champions Harbourview Volkswagen this past September that they decided to carry on supporting our Hospital throughout October! In addition to buying and sharing over 45 dozen Tim Hortons Smile Cookies, they hosted a donation drive event resulting in an incredible $5,000 for our Nanaimo Regional General Hospital’s new ICU! We cannot thank these community leaders enough for their community spirit, kindness and generosity!
