Because of You, Healthcare Moves Forward

Our Fairwinds and Nanoose Bay community came together in an incredible way at the second annual Fairwinds en Blanc, raising more than $94,400 to help establish a new high-intensity cardiac rehabilitation program at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

A heartfelt thank you to Julie Hazelwood and the entire team at Fairwinds for creating such a special evening and bringing people together in support of local healthcare. We are also incredibly grateful to the event sponsors, guests, silent auction supporters and everyone who chose to give.

Funds raised will help purchase essential equipment for the new program, including an Exercise Stress Test System, 12-Lead ECG Machine, Central Cardiac Monitoring Station, vital-sign monitors, and rehabilitation treadmills or exercise bikes.

Together, this equipment will provide an important foundation for a program designed to help cardiac patients safely regain strength, improve their heart health and reduce their risk of another cardiac event.
