I spent my career with Knappett Industries, a locally owned construction company. We do big projects, like roads and utility infrastructure. So I know how important it is to have the right tools. Your doctors and surgeons need them to do their best work, too.

As an Oceanside resident for 40 years and a retired business owner, I care about this community. Oceanside is where my kids grew up, and now they are raising kids of their own!

Since moving to Oceanside in 1984, I’ve been in the Nanaimo hospital for nine different operations! I’m an avid traveller, and the care I received from the surgical teams has allowed me to keep living my active lifestyle free from pain and limitations.

I’ve been to our hospital so many times, and I have nothing but good things to say about how they helped me. That’s why for the last 25 years my company and I have been involved in supporting the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation.

There are a lot of people who will need medical care in our community. Lots of us are retirees. And we’ll all need good care. That’s why I’m urging you to join me and give this season and meet the growing demand for critical care in Oceanside and NRGH.
