TB Vets Charitable Foundation has been supporting the frontlines of respiratory care in BC since 1946. Through their equipment and research grants, they have generously donated more than $225,000 to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital’s Respiratory Therapy Department over the last 34 years.

This year, they gave their first grant of $20,000 to the Oceanside Health Centre for the purchase of new vital signs monitors, which can detect early warning signs in cardiac and respiratory health. These new monitors provide quick and accurate readings so that Central Island patients can have faster access to the care they need. They also provide our healthcare professionals with the latest technologies, including integration with electronic health records, so that patients who are transferred out for higher levels of care can have their records viewed immediately by cardiac doctors and respiratory specialists at hospitals across the Island.

We are so grateful to the TB Vets Charitable Foundation for their continued support of healthcare in our communities! Thank you TB Vets!
