Across Central and North Vancouver Island, people seeking help for substance-use challenges face a reality that is as heartbreaking as it is urgent. Alcohol and drug use is one of the leading causes of death on Vancouver Island.

The 19 bed abstinence-based Parksville Treatment Centre will provide:

  • Safe, inclusive space open to all genders, orientations, and people with diverse needs 
  • Wheelchair-accessible accommodations 
  • Personalized 30-, 60-, and 90-day treatment plans 
  • One-to-one and group counselling 
  • Psychiatric and primary-care support 
  • Cultural and spiritual care 
  • Nature-based therapy 
  • Transition planning and aftercare connected to each person’s home community 
  • Transportation support, including an on-site accessible van
