This year the Royal Canadian Legion – Mt. Arrowsmith Branch 49 donated $7,000 to the new ICU at NRGH! To date they have donated over $38,000 to our hospital!
We would like to thank Island Aggregates and Mack Vancouver Island for their annual donation! This year they auctioned off a bench made by one of their employees and matched the proceeds, raising a total of $1,520 for the new ICU at NRGH!

The new Code Brew Café as part of the lobby renovations at NRGH is now open! The new café will provide patients, visitors and staff with a wider selection of food and beverage options in an open, modern space.

The Code Brew Grand Re-Opening is dedicated to Brenda Rositano 1964-2019.
Brenda came to work for the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation on June 12, 2000. In her role as the first Manager of our new cafe, Brenda opened up Code Brew and set it up for great success.
Brenda’s exceptional work expanded into fundraising for the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation in 2004 and she stayed with us until 2019.
Best known for managing the Lotto for Life, Golf, Run and Ride for Life, Brenda raised millions of dollars for medical equipment at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
Famous for her bright smile and infectious laugh, Brenda Rositano was a beloved friend to all her work colleagues.
The Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation would like to sincerely thank the Rositano family for sharing Brenda with all of us. Our community is a better place because of her!
